Service is our success
The Austrian carrier Lauda is renowned for its outstanding,
multi award-winning service, offering both Amadeus and Economy
Class passengers the very best in comfort, cuisine and entertainment.
Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, the Lauda Air
fleet is one of the youngest and best-maintained in the
world.
It began in 1979 with two small Fokker 27 propeller aircraft.
Today, Lauda Air has one of the most modern aircraft fleets
in the world, with scheduled connections from Austria to
4 continents and charter flights from Austria to many of
the world's loverliest holiday destinations. A high-speed
development, based upon the thorough and successful realization
of the Lauda Air slogan "Service is our success".
In general, all airlines today fly equally high, equally
far, equally quickly and with almost identical aircraft.
However, Lauda Air has always done its utmost to offer its
passengers something really special in all aspects of its
service, and thus sets itself pleasantly apart from the
rest of the field.
For instance, Lauda Air brought visually attractive interior
design to its aircraft and installed a package of selected
audio, video and interactive programs, to entertain its
passengers and assure them of an in-flight treat for both
eyes and ears.
With the introduction of the Amadeus Class on board all
Boeing 767-300 ER and Boeing 777, Lauda Air created a new
"class consciousness" above the clouds: the best
Business Class in the world, flying chefs, the Amadeus Class
Gourmet Menu created by Do&Co, Vienna's top restaurant.
Lauda Air does not only pay special attention to catering
for its Amadeus Class guests. Economy Class passengers are
also served top-class delicacies to delight the palate from
the kitchens of the very best gourmet temples.
Lauda passengers have not only feted this edge on other
airlines: since the beginning of 1993 alone, Lauda Air has
been able to accept no less than thirty awards for its in-flight
catering and service.
The Lauda Air fleet currently consists of 2 Boeing 777-200
IGW, 6 Boeing 767-300 ER, 2 Boeing 737-300, 2 Boeing 737-400,
2 Boeing 737-600, 2 Boeing 737-700, 2 Boeing 737-800 and
4 Canadair Regional Jets 100 ER for scheduled and charter.
Besides charter and scheduled long-haul traffic, Lauda
Air is operating a European route network. Following intercontinental
destinations are operated from Vienna: Miami, Bangkok, Phuket,
Kuala Lumper, Denpasar, Dubai, Male, Kathmandu, Sydney and
Melbourne.
Destinations in Lauda's European Network are: Manchester,
Munich, Sofia, Vilnius, Riga, Timisoara, St. Petersburg,
Amsterdam, Kiew, Anapa.
Lauda Air will thus provide optimal connections between
the two most rapidly growing economic regions of the world,
namely Asia and Eastern Europe.
